don't travel to go somewhere, travel to go

When you travel, you are just you.

I love how Emily Doong explains her view on traveling. Traveling to her is not just about going across the Golden Gate Bridge or tasting a fried cricket on you way to the Great Wall of China or even experiencing the thrill of attending the Tour De France. It is about taking a step back and taking of break from all the obligations and responsibilities of the world today. Now, some people would disagree saying that the only reason they travel is to go across the Golden Gate Bridge or to taste fried crickets on their way to the Great Wall of China or to even attend the Tour De France. I believe that everyone travels for a different reason because everyone has a different view or opinion on traveling and that is okay. Though, taking a trip from all the hectic responsibilities in life and being able to relax and order a five star meal from your bedroom every day and never even leaving the hotel room sounds like a pretty sweet deal to me, I would enjoy going out into the world and seeing all of its glorious and majestic qualities one day. When you travel, you can just be you. You don't have to be the perfect daughter or the most popular kid in school, you can just be yourself. There is so much pressure in the world today to have the latest outfits with the best hair and the hottest reputation but when you are out in the world where no one even know you, you have the freedom to just be yourself. My advice to anyone who is reading this is to just be you and don't care what people think because in 10 or even 30 years, no one is really going to remember the boots that you wore freshmen year. You do not have to leave the country to be yourself, even though it might be easier. Just be you.
